Processes in the problematization of the social issue of land in Brazilian society are discussed in an attempt to question its current unfolding within psychological studies. Based on the notion of "co-existential space", reflections are envisaged to identify the conceptual oppositions concerning the analysis of the social issue of land and its implications for the understanding of modern social struggles in the countryside. Current essay points towards certain perspectives within models of rationality and subjectivity that contend these processes, coupled to epistemological and methodological challenges facing psychologists.
