The creative activity of the school psychologist in higher education

Abstract

The objective of this article is to present a theoretical reflection on the professional activities of the school psychologist as a creative activity, contextualizing these reflections for the practice of this professional in higher education. We start from the Vygotskian productions about creative activity and the punishment of creation, which guided us in the search for contemporary references in the historical-cultural perspective on the theme proposed by Vygotsky. We reflect on the creative act of the school psychologist who acts in higher education as an ontological necessity and as a political commitment to transform the social conditions of injustice and inequality. We question the psychological practices of adaptation and normalization of people to the educational process. We propose the historical, relational and dialectical perspective as a possibility of transmutation of institutional reading and experience into concrete subjective-institutional intervention in the course of our own experience. Finally, we assume the collective power of the academic community to plan, design, and build their own conditions of existence.
