This article studies the fragmentation of History and Science in Post-History, based on the shattered body of the character Joe from Dalton Trumbo's novel and movie Johnny Got His Gun. In turn, according to the concept of Post-History formulated by Vilém Flusser, Auschwitz and Hiroshima proved to be the logical consequences of (rather than mere accidents in) Western rationality, launching an intense representational crisis, to the point of altering the very notion of progress.
