This work is a discussion on the matter of retiring, analyzing the performance of rural elderly people, and the psychosocial conditions that differ them from the urban retired. The data reveal the high grade of importance of the benefits in settling down the elderly and their family in the rural zone. These benefits, besides keeping and extending the life of the elderly residents of the rural zone, give financial motion to the local trade and have built a new culture, based on the condition of being or not a beneficiary of the social welfare providing better conditions of life to all local residents, contributing even to the reduction of the beggary, homeless children and prostitution.
