Work deregulation and deregulation of the activity: the case of outsourcing of urban cleaning and the street sweeper work

The precise mechanisms associating outsourcing and occupational health are not well known yet. Even being the relations between outsourcing and health apparently evident, it isn't easy to demonstrate the existence of direct and specific causal relations between the change of the contractual relations and occupational diseases. The various aspects of juridical, social and economic deregulations, although real, do not explain themselves the increasing damages on the external workers' health. Based on the concept of deregulation of the work activity if will be shown how the deregulation of the work relations that come along with outsourcing of urban cleaning services can produce or grow the occupational diseases and accidents of the street sweepers. For this it was appealed to work ergonomic analyzes to understand the daily activity of the street sweepers.
