ABSTRACT
The aim of this article is to discuss some of the ways in which Actor-Network Theory (ANT) has been used by psychologists in Brazil. For this purpose, the focus of analysis was articles published in journals indexed in the CAPES Qualis for the area of Psychology observing the following aspects: similar themes; materialities involved in the discussion; methodologies; strategies for analysis. We concluded that since 1997 ANT has been used in publications in the area of Psychology, chiefly in Social Psychology, to question the epistemological foundations arising from modern experimentalist traditions and, especially, the centrality of human as the focus and origin of knowledge. Bruno Latour, John Law and Annemarie Mol were the main authors used in the articles analyzed. The theory was introduced by two research networks: in the Rio de Janeiro (partnership between UFF, UERJ, and UFRJ) and in São Paulo (PUC/SP in association with UAB/Barcelona).
