ABSTRACT
This article attempts to understand the importance of the category “change of paradigm” applied to the post-synodal apostolic exhortation Amoris laetitia. After defining the contents, advantages, and limits of such reading, the article focuses on the kind of paradigm Pope Francis uses in the document and on the benefits of this approach regarding the question of the divorced and remarried, to which the traditional paradigm was unable to respond in a satisfactory manner.
