Emotions as a way for a complex epistemology of psychology

As a result of the study of emotions, reflections have been developed pointing at the marking influence that the simplifier paradigm has on the study of complex objects on human subjectivity, besides its influence on the various moments of knowledge construction. The family therapy dominant moves are presented as important moments in this discussion, since they concurrently illustrate possibilities and limitations on the construction of a complex epistemology. On these grounds and considering the contributions from different epistemological proposals, there is an effort in trying to promote a set of initial articulations for a complex psychological epistemology, that may not only account for a complex understanding of emotions, but also comprehend the complexity of the setting of knowledge construction itself, and particularly integrate the scientist's subjectivity as a fundamental moment at the construction of knowledge.
