The aim of this study is to interpret Andrei Tarkovski's movie Solaris and Stanislaw Lem's novel, emphasizing the connections between knowledge and self-knowledge. To interpret these works, some concepts of C.G. Jung's Analytical Psychology, as individuation process, self and mana-personality are used.
