Views of L. S. Vygotsky at the science about children's development

In this paper, the main ideas of L.S. Vygotsky's fourth lecture, which is called "The problem of the environment in paedology," are analyzed in the context of the whole seven lecture series called "The foundations of paedology" and other works of Vigotski on the same topics. This lecture series is considered to represent Vygotsky's project of science of child development. The fourth lecture is mainly focused on specific tendencies of psychological development. It is shown that the ideas of that lecture were further developed in the work called "The problem of age" and in the lectures of concerning age crises.
