Quality of working life and risk of disease: a study in the Brazilian judicial branch

The research attempted to characterize the Quality of Working Life (QWL) in an institution of the judicial branch based on the perception of its employees. The chosen methodological approach was the Activity-Centered Ergonomics Applied to the Quality of Working Life (ACEA_QWL). The participants were 5,164 workers. The quantitative analysis indicated that, overall, the institution is in a zone of moderate welfare. The most critical factor was work organization, while the factor evaluated most positively was the link between work and social life. The research provided subsidies for conducting an intervention that consolidates the welfare sources at work, aiming to the prevent health problems and promote QWL.
