A responsabilidade social da empresa: uma nova vantagem competitiva

This article discusses a trend in the business world - the increasing corporate responsibility to its contituencies: shareholders, employees, customers and community. The higher social corporate responsibility has been associated with a better performance: eventually, it may create a competitive advantage. Nevertheless, the adoption of this corporate philosophy by Brazilian corporations is harmed due to cultural characteristics prevalent in Brazilian society.
