This case study presents a methodology including the use of ergonomic analysis, institutional analysie, group dynamics and interviews. It was applied to a manufacturing company in Mexico, which presented decline in productivity due to toork-related stress. lt is used the research-aciion approach, the study dealt with managers and assembly-line workers showing signs of stress. The causes of the problem were identified and a stress prevention programme was set. Positive results were reported following the programme implementation.
