Multiple criteria models-based managerial analysis tools

This article presents an innovative decision model, based on multiple criteria, integrated to Balanced Scorecard and Net Present Value applications. Specially, we will present two methods of ranking and alternative valorization, incorporating several attributes: the Analytic Hierarchy process and the Non-Traditional Investment Criteria. In the model integrated with the Balanced Scorecard, the Analytic Hierarchy Process will be applied to determine the relative importance of several performance measures. In the model integrated with the Net Present Value, we will use the Non-Traditional Capital Investment Criteria to identify the best project to be implemented in situations involving financial and non-financial variables. Through a case study, we will discuss integrated models that illustrate the potentiality of multicriteria models in problems of business management.
