This research aims at investigating the antecedents of stock markets investors' intention to use home broker web-based systems. Based on a review of the literature on information systems adoption models, diffusion of innovation theory, trust in virtual environments, and user satisfaction, a theoretical model was developed and research hypothesis set forth to be tested. PLS multivariate analysis was employed to assess the proposed model with data collected via web from 152 Brazilian investors. The results suggest that compatibility, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use are antecedents of user satisfaction with home broker systems, which, in its turn, was an antecedent of investors' intention to use the system. The paper concludes with the academic and managerial implications of the findings, the associated limitations, and a research agenda for this important knowledge area.
