Perfil da carga de treinamento no voleibol de alto rendimento: um estudo de caso

Abstract

Analyze the profile of the training load (TL) during a volleyball season. Participated 12 male athletes (26.9 ± 4.6 years) from a professional team. Were analyzed 20 weeks, comprising the Preparatory Period (PP), Competitive Period I (CP-I) and Competitive Period II (CP-II). The Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE Session) method was used to calculate to calculate the TL, Monotony and Strain, as well as to compare the weeks with different number of games and between the five positions. The daily TL (TLD) was significantly higher in PP than in CP-I and CP-II (625, 400, and 363 A.U., respectively), as well as Monotony and Strain. The TL Total Weekly (TLTW) was significantly lower in the week with two games than in the week with one game or no game (377, 500, and 622 A.U., respectively). In the comparison by position, the Hitter athletes obtained the highest TL (515 U.A.). In conclusion, the highest TL was in the PP, without game and in the athletes of Hitter position.
