The intensive body and physical education

Abstract

The article discusses the concept of paradoxical body proposed by Portuguese Philosopher José Nuno Gil. The body is supported by an ontological statute that suggests it would not be just in league of the human existence. Body would not be claimed as property by reason or culture, but as an intensive body, instead. Therefore, it is shown that connection of this concept has had established with the notion of body-without-organs (CSO), as developed by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari. The paper supports the notion of intensive body in a cognitive horizon in Physical Education, perspective that would allow the practice of physical education with less concerned about repetition but more about for experimentation.
