Physical Education in Integrated High School: knowledge and specificity

ABSTRACT

The objective of this theoretical essay is to analyze the theoretical and legal foundations which have the potential to contribute to the understanding of the specificity of Physical Education in High School Integrated to Vocational and Technological Education. The data indicate that work, science, technology and culture are understood as inseparable dimensions of human formation and need to be in educational proposals base of curricular components in Integrated High School. Therefore, it is up to Physical Education, from the scope that constitutes the body culture of movement, to establish articulations with the epistemological field that composes it and promote curricular integration with other knowledge areas, enabling an emancipatory formation.
