Field performance of a microsprinkler systemThis work was conducted in the 'Escola Agrotécnica Federal de Sousa, PB', with the purpose of evaluating the performance of the microsprinkler system of localized irrigation. Three sub units of this project, (A, B and C), were evaluated for the variation of pressure and flow, coefficients of uniformity and the application efficiency. High flow and pressure variations were observed in two sub units appraised. The irrigation uniformity was high, being classified as excellent. The efficiency of application of water in the sub units A and C was acceptable, while in the area B it was less than the minimum recommendable of 80.0% for microsprinkler, a fact that may be attributed to the high absolute variations of pressure and of flow observed in all the lateral subunits.
