For the application of chemical products a equipment attached to center pivots was developed. During application, the aerial structure of the center pivot system moves, without accomplishing irrigation, just transporting the spray system around the area. In order to compensate different speeds two spray bars were installed in each pivot span. Intermittent spraying was achieved by means of solenoid valves controlled by electronic circuit synchronized with electric motor gears. The system is able to apply a minimum volume of 246 L ha-1. Drop diameters obtained were compatible with the requirements of application of chemical products. On/off time sequences of 0.4 - 2.5, 0.5 - 2.5, 0.3 - 3.5 and 0.4 - 3.5 s resulted in coefficients of variation under 15%, that are acceptable for ground based applications.
