Interactions between deaf students, teachers and interpreter in physics classes: a Vygotskian perspective

This study presents an analysis of classroom interactions between the deaf student, teacher and interpreter, and the role of these actors in the integration of deaf students. This is a qualitative study conducted in public high schools Campo Grande-MS, where these students were enrolled. In this analysis we used a Vygotskian sociocultural approach. The results showed that only the interpreter interacted effectively with these students and also that the interpreter did contribute to promoting their interactions with others who were not fluent in Brazilian sign language (Libras) The teacher transferred the responsibility of the process of teaching and learning to the interpreter.
