It is noticed that the concepts of energy usually employed in Thermodynamics and in Statistical Mechanics are not the same and are indeed related through a Legendre transformation, the one coming from Statistical Mechanics working as the enthalpy works in relation to the internal energy in the P-V-T scheme. The electrical free energies are also defined.
