An analysis of floating bodies and the principle of Archimedes

In this paper, a deduction of the Archimedes principle is proposed. A very simple and easily reproducible experiment is presented, in which a body is observed to float in a tank. The mechanical laws of equilibrium are applied to the body. The demonstration is generalized to two or more immiscible fluids in which the body is immersed.
