Tycho Brahe and Kepler in the High School: a contribution to the use of two articles in class

Under the assumption that history and philosophy of science may be useful to science education, this work develops an epistemological reflection about the educational potential of two articles: "Entrevista com Tycho Brahe" ("Interview with Tycho Brahe") and 'Entrevista com Kepler - do seu nascimento à descoberta das duas primeiras leis" ("Interview with Kepler - from his birth to give support, epistemological and methodologically, to the teacher interested in using these articles in classroom, but that for different reasons are not familiar with the critical care necessary to an appropriate use of the history of science in physics education. In this perspective, this article seeks to help the teacher to identify in the texts some important questions and issues in the fields of history and philosophy of science. The discussions are followed by the suggestion of a general strategy for the use of both articles in the classroom, in order to emphasize their scientific and epistemological contents.
