An approach to the wind energy as an alternative for teaching topics of classical physics

This work presents a study about the basic theoretical principals involved in the generation of electricity from wind energy. A quantitative and qualitative approach is performed to the wind energy in order to relate the presented contents with several topics studied in classic physics. Wind energy represents an area of knowledge which involves several issues that can be directly used in the physics teaching contributing to a more contextualized and attractive teaching for the student.
