The students' conceptions about high school's physics subject: an exploratory study

This paper presents and discusses the results of the exploratory study with high-school students of two state schools of Distrito Federal. The main objective was to identify their conceptions about physics teaching and to build a scenario of investigation to future physics teachers. In order to overcome the speculative discourse, because of this the school knowledge and the educational practices are questioned and three subjects are exploited: the relationship between physics and technology, physics and mathematics, physics and daily life.
