Montaigne: the foundation of education in the skeptic and stoic molds

The main result of this article is the affirmation that Montaigne's philosophy, thought under an educational perspective, offers the possibility of a pedagogy based on intellectual skepticism and moral stoicism. Justified by the necessity of nearing philosophy and education, the objective is to demonstrate the applicability of Montaigne's philosophical thought to the educational reflection, offering a panoramic view of his life and of his Essays. The theoretical reference of this bibliographical research is the historic-dialectic materialism.
