Abstract
This study in Applied Linguistics was motivated by the increasing research on immersive media within the educational field and the identification of (para)didactic materials focused mainly on the hard sciences. It aims to understand the development of a multimidiatic material with didactic purposes that incorporated Augmented Reality (AR) and poem reading for students of the initial cycle of Middle School. With this end, this research comprises a qualitative case study that sought to understand, among other questions, students’ interpretations about the poem both before and after the use of technology, as well as their impressions of the material. The results show that the use of AR aroused students’ interest, indicating the potentialities of its use with the poem in this study sample.
