Abstract
This article presents a critical analysis about the interpretation of the thought of Karl Marx conducted by Canadian author Moishe Postone in his work Time, Labor and Social Domination. The discussion centers on the way in which Postone reconstructs in a peculiar way the critique of Marxian political economy - mainly the concepts of labor, class and subject - and how, in doing so, the author creates impasses and inconsistencies in his attempt to renew Marx’s critical theory.
