Open-access The Brazilian Supreme Court in Egypt: Strike and Legal History in the Special Appeal n.º 693.456/RJ

    Abstract

    On October 27, 2016, Minister Dias Toffoli voted, as a rapporteur, on the special appeal n.º 693.456/RJ, setting new directives on the right to strike in Brazil. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the applications of Legal History in this decision, examining the arguments and historical sources used to trace a history of the right to strike.
