The reality of children’s rights in a changing world. 30 years after the Convention.

Abstract

The article proposes a study on the present and pending challenges to reconcil the dignity of children and adolescents with the responsibility of governments, as recognized in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Thus, paternalism is discussed in the political agendas, which requires granting children greater visibility as social actors, seeking to ensure a more sustainable and inclusive development.
