Open-access Rio de Janeiro and the Criminological Thinking

This article tries to demonstrate how the criminal legal culture, more precisely the main jurists and Criminal Law professors from the Faculties of Law, in Rio de Janeiro, Viveiros de Castro, Lima Drummond e Esmeraldino Bandeira absorbed and adhered to the criminological postulates, especially Italian Positivism, in the period of the First Republic.
