The authors made a retrospective study by comparison of legal and ethic aspects of organ and tissue donation by human living persons and cadaver donors, death determination, receptor selection, conflict of interest, selling and buying organs, and international interchange of organs in 16 Countries from Latin America (Argentin, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Cuba, Equador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguai, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela), according to the WHO recommendation.
