Motivation of scholars in junior high by physical education

This study aimed to analyze the motivation in Physical Education classes with students in junior high. 86 students participated of the research from 5th to 8th grade from a court public school in Florianópolis (SC). During data collecting it was used a questionnaire of multiple choice adapted from Darido (2004). During descriptive analysis it was used frequency and percentage, while in the inferential analysis, it was used the exact test by Fisher. The results did not show meaningful association between students' motivation, gender, age, grade, participation in classes, and sports practice over classes. However, it is important to mention the expressive percentage of students who consider Physical Education classes exciting given by graduation practice students, as well as scholars that report to participate effectively in classes and to practice sports in over classes' time.
