Any publication is based on the premise that there is ample room for comprehension among professionals of different beliefs, traditions, etc. As such, REM, that now completes 79 years of existence, has been seeking to grow accordingly, although it is aware that there are several barriers to be overcome.
It is with satisfaction that REM has reached its 79th anniversary with almost 5 million page views of its SciElo (www.scielo.br) site since 2001 (an average of more than 350 thousand page views annually), demonstrating its success each year, locally and internationally.
I would like to continue talking about our successes, but we have a lot of work ahead to increase our Impact Factor, reduce publication times, and improve other operational areas.
The former prime minister of England, Margaret Thatcher used to say: Do not follow the crowd just because you are afraid to be different. Decide for yourself what you want to achieve. This coming year, REM is committed to overcome obstacles, to allow us to commemorate its rise as one of the top publications of its field.
