This article aims to reflect on nursing care in view of the expanded clinic in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The study is characterized as a reflection. The expansion of the clinic provides a look at when considering their human biological aspect of subjectivity associated with each particular case by an integral approach, interdisciplinary and shared. It is necessary that joint efforts of an interdisciplinary team to modify the setting of the ICU, where historically the hegemonic model is perpetuated. In nursing responsibility with the individual, his welfare and the a change of hegemonic practice for extended clinic.
