This article presents an analysis of the film A esquiva (France, 2004), by Abdellatif Kechiche, which narrates how students from the periphery mounted a theatrical play. It focuses on the way of life and language of these adolescents. The background is the issue of the right to culture. A qualitative study of an exploratory nature was conducted on the Internet, based on files available about the film since 2004. The analysis is based on specialized film criticism texts and the reaction of spectators in on-line discussion forums found in French sites.
