Um modelo para representar o “irrepresentado” na mente

This work presents a conceptual sketch (the Cambridge model) aiming at characterizing the “construction” process of psychosomatic symptoms. With this model, we propose a way to comprehend the subjective states that can not be translated as concepts (mental representations) and, through its own paths, are materialised as corporal or psychosomatic symptoms. This allows a description and comprehension of the ways through which the therapeutic process achieves its efficacy and can transform the “unrepresented” mental states that are the basis of the constitution of psychosomatic phenomena. We also tried to link this understanding with some of W. R. Bion's conceptions, in order to reach new dimensions in this question.
