Psychopharmacology and existencial analysis are using differents methodes of scientific and psychiatric research in order top improve psychiatric practice. Assuming that each of these methods is recognised as a specific entity, they may fruitfully complete each other. Existential analysis allows for a sharper comprehension of essential psychoipathological structures, hence for a better therapeutical indication of psychopharmacological substances. Knowledge already accumulated throught existential analysis may be confirmed and checked in a quasi experimental way throught data abtaining from psychopharmacology. Thus, the two methods have to be used concomitantly and their respective results checked up in a constant interrelationship.
