From a psychoanalytic point of view, 31 signs of risk in child development were constructed and applied to 680 children between the ages of 0 and 18 months. A sample of 300 children were also evaluated at the age of three. The first analysis of results showed a relationship among body image, difficulties with separation, motor agitation and physical bonds with mothers. The results are critically discussed on the basis of the contemporary concept of hyperactivity.
