ABSTRACT
Armação dos Búzios Municipality, which is part of the Cabo Frio Center of Plant Diversity, is characterized by a variety of vegetation physiognomies, related to the physical environment and climate. In the last forty years, rapid urban growth has reduced and fragmented the vegetation cover. This work aims to map the extension, distribution and conservation state of the remaining vegetation cover and land use of Armação dos Búzios, based on interpretation of aerial photographs, aided by digital thematic (geology, soil and relief) maps and field work, with collected plant samples identified in the herbarium.
