Nectar of Cecropia lyratiloba Miq. var. nana Andr. & Car. - Cecropiaceae

Abstract

It is a new source of food utilized by the ants Azteca which live in Cecropia: the nectar. The relict character of the nectaries is here considered. The drop of nectar it seems important in the pollen captation and germination.
