ABSTRACT
A new name is proposed for the tribe Astereae (Asteraceae) in Brazil: Conyza neolaxiflora A. Teles & Stehmann (synoym: Erigeron laxiflorus Baker, not Conyza laxiflora Desf.), and a discussion of its relationship with the closely related Conyza monorchis (Griseb.) Cabrera is presented.
