Abstract: This article analyzes left-wing Catholicism in France, by studying the Réseaux du Parvis, a federation of Christian associations, the majority of which is Catholic. This organization carries out actions critical of the Catholic institution, in particular intra-ecclesial actions - with a focus on Ecclesiastic hierarchy. This study presents this set of Catholic groups and their mode of organization as a federation, since it is a contemporary version of the modes of organization of the Catholic left in France. It is contended herein through the analysis of the Réseaux du Parvis that in the French case, parish organization is in crisis, and that this association mobilizes itself via a network, at the margin of parishes and dioceses.
