Carnaval da Nova Consciência

In this article an ethnographic description of the "Meeting For New Conscience" - ENC is made, an annual event in Campina Grande-PB which takes place around carnival since 1992. This event promotes inter-religious contact as well as a "reading" of realities in a therapeutic light. It proposes a dialogue on religious practices bridging subjects of great interest to modern times, such as tolerance, peace, diversity, and environmental topics among others. An open space that incorporates new dialogues with each edition, and which contributes towards its permanence. This text underlines the interaction and dialogues between actors in the ENC, by means of references associated with religiosity, while experiencing and sharing, on a horizon of production and diffusion of practices and knowledge that will be expressed simply by being collectively recognized.
