The authors report their experience with Teclozan in the treatment of 30 patients with chronic intestinal amebiasis, administering a new dosage 1.500 mgm in a single oral dosa. After a follow-up in the 7th, 14th, and 30th days after the treatment, the para sito togical cure rate obtained was 80% (24 cases) and no side-effects were observed. The authors concluded that the drug (Teclozine) is a very safe and effective agent in the treatment of amebiasis.
