The A. A. present 11 cases of rhinosporidiosis. The clinical, pathological and epidemiological aspects are studied. The pacients - a black man, a white woman and eight of brown color - were all of rural origin and the age ranged frorn 6 to 33 years. Nine were male. The duration of the disease varied frorn three months to four years and there was a case with three recurrences. The high prevalence of the disease in the State of Maranhão (Brazil) is emphasized.
