The present work is a study of the S. mansoni morphology, obtained by hepatic and mesenteric filtration from 5 patients Iram the "São Vicente de Paula" Hospital in Minas Gerais. Morphologic details not yet clearly described in the literature, were elucidated, and compared with those, pointed out by the electronic microscopy in experimental animais. Authors did not find any morphologic difference between, human parasites and those obtained by experimental infection from small mammalian hosts.
