Open-access Analyzis of some paradigms used in the teaching of the social sciences in medical schools theoretical frameworks

Four paradigms that are used in teaching the social sciences in medical schools are reviewed: natural history of disease, comprehensive care, the patient's career, and the structural paradigs are analyzed. Criticism of the four paradigms is made and the theoretical framework of each is stressed.
