The study refers to one of the main difficulties encountered in the process of organ donation: the deficiency of specific continuing education for donations by the general public and health professionals. Aimed to emphasize how education affects positively the statistics of organ donations. This is a literature review, including electronic journal articles and literary works. There is a big difference between the number of people waiting for transplant and the number of donors. Measurements of continuing education and public health policies that encourage people to express their desire to be donors are important strategies to alleviate this problem.
